Contact Us

We read everything that arrives, and we answer as much of it as a small editorial team can. Using the right address below is the fastest way to get a useful reply, because each one goes to the people who can actually act on it. If you are unsure, [email protected] is always a safe start.

General enquiries

[email protected] — questions about the publication, syndication and republication requests, speaking or interview requests, technical problems with the site, and anything that does not fit the categories below.

Editorial and story tips

[email protected] — for tips, documents and leads on anything in our beats: AI and LLM engineering, startup funding mechanics, software infrastructure, security and privacy compliance, unit economics, and Canadian tech policy and funding programmes.

Tips are most useful when they include something checkable: a document, a filing, a dated screenshot, a specification, a commit, an invoice, a programme decision letter. Tell us what you can verify and what you are inferring, and tell us how you want to be treated as a source. We honour requests for confidentiality, and our rules for anonymous sourcing are in the editorial guidelines. Please do not send confidential material through channels your employer monitors.

Corrections and complaints

[email protected], with "Correction" in the subject line. Include the article URL, the sentence or figure you believe is wrong, what the correct version is, and a source we can check. We prioritise these above everything else in the inbox. If the article is wrong, we fix it and mark the change on the page; if we conclude it is right, we will tell you why. Subjects of critical coverage have a right of reply, described in the guidelines. Complaints about a contributor, a disclosure or a labelling decision go to the same address.

Press releases and product pitches

[email protected] — and an honest expectation: unsolicited press releases are read, and rarely covered. We do not publish funding-round or product announcements as news simply because they happened. Rewritten releases, embargoed "exclusives" with no data in them, award announcements, executive appointments, survey results from lead-generation surveys, and pitches offering an interview with an executive who will say the category is growing are all declined.

What does work: primary data we cannot get elsewhere, such as anonymised usage, pricing or benchmark figures with the methodology attached; a technical account of how something was built, from the engineers who built it; a customer willing to speak on the record about a measurable outcome; or a document that shows a mechanism at work. A useful pitch states the embargo date and time with its time zone, what is genuinely new, the primary data or documents available, and a named contact who can answer technical questions rather than route them. Two paragraphs beat a media kit. If a piece of coverage is worth paying for, that is advertising, not editorial, and we will say so.

Advertising and partnerships

[email protected] — display and newsletter placements, sponsored articles, category sponsorship, and affiliate or commercial partnership enquiries. Rates, availability and audience figures are shared in a current media kit on request. Our sponsored-content rules, including what we will not accept, are on the advertise with us page.

Legal, privacy and DMCA

[email protected] — copyright and DMCA notices and counter-notices, trademark concerns, privacy and data-subject requests, and any other legal correspondence. Before sending a copyright notice, please read our DMCA policy, which sets out what a valid notice must contain; for data requests, our privacy policy explains what we hold and how to ask about it. Notices sent to any other address will be forwarded here, which only slows things down.

Guest contributions

[email protected] — article pitches from writers and practitioners. Read write for us first: it lists what we commission, what we reject outright, and the pitch format we ask for. We are not a paid-post service and we decline link-placement offers, so please do not send them.

Response times

We aim to acknowledge correspondence within two business days and to give a substantive answer within five. Corrections are handled faster, usually the same or next business day. We are closed on Canadian statutory holidays.
